Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide N2O is a colourless gas with a slight pleasant odour and sweet taste.

Nitrous oxide is used primarily for inhalational anaesthesia, mostly in combination with other drugs (it is insufficient for a strong anaesthetic effect). At the same time, the compound can be seen as the safest means of anaesthesia, because its application has almost no complications.

It is sometimes also used for improving the technical properties of internal combustion engines.
